  • Re: BillyTommo's UE Diary

It just goes to show that, when it comes to creditors, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

I know it isn't easy but just put it out of your mind until you receive something else, either from Shoosmiths or Experto Credite.

Oh yes, I will do. Putting things out of my mind comes very easy to me! I just wondered if anyone recognised the scenario and could advise as to the likely outcome. I'm more than happy to sit it out and wait, though

There is no likely outcome. No two cases are the same. We helped fight shoosmiths. That worked. Next it's the new DCA. Square 1 again. It's a vicious circle as such.

Chill. Forget it now till you next hear then let us know.

I am chilled, since arriving here to be honest. Where I used to dread the postman, now it doesn't bother me in the slightest. The doorbell ringing, no problem. I just wondered whether I can expect to be chased by two firms for the same debt? Not bothered if I am like. They can each have half of what I've got which is half of nowt!

It's unlikely both chase you but if so then go to the owner / OC and see what they say.....

I rang the next day and, after basically asking me the same questions as on the application, the lady told me that my application had been successful. Happy days! She didn't tell me the limit and I didn't ask, to be honest I just want it to finally stick some green markers on my file!

I was a tad impatient before but since then I haven't even thought about it until this letter. I thought, why not. Another lesson in following the advice on here ;-)
The Vanquis card dropped through the letterbox, £1,000 limit!! Just waiting for the pin to arrive but obviously not going to go anywhere near the limit

Just received an Aqua application form now, almost identical to the Vanquis one. I'm tempted to apply for this one too to try and get more green on my file. Good idea or bad?

I know what you mean but if I haven't learned from the situation I am in then I might as well give up completely. Yes, I have had to alter my habits, like lots of others on here and "resisting temptation" is part of all that. The green markers seems more tempting to be honest ;-)

I know it's tempting but personally I'd leave it for a few months before applying for another card.

I thought Shoosmiths were?? If Experto Credite had contacted me themselves without NW involvement I would have just sent the SWID template to them but as this has come from the client What to do?

It means our LBA Response template letter worked

NW will be too proud to admit that so they've sent you a letter simply saying they've farmed out your account to a DCA instead of a solicitor. I don't think you need to do anything until you hear from Experto Credite.

Well done you for winning that last round

I knew I couldn't be that lucky and Shoosmiths would simply crawl back under their stone! They have now sent me a response to my LBA response that I sent. They basically state that they have complied with everything except the default notice and the termination notice, copies of which they have requested from their client. They also state that I am not entitled to copies of any communications between them and their client. I suppose that I will now just wait and see if the copies arrive as promised

With regard to the DN/TN they rarely keep actual copies of the originals, often they'll just send a repopulated template.
Do you have your own copy of the DN Billy?
