Just looking at the file and I was sent the signed sheet a while ago but the terms around it were illegible. I wonder whether it would be worth pointing this out?

Hi mate, having a chat with planB earlier - we think it'll be a good idea to also send one of these, like maybe Wednesday next week --> http://forums.all-about-debt.co.uk/s...l=1#post495044

As well as? If so, I take it that they go separately?

Ok, instead of sending my letter replace it with the LBA mate - it's more relevant

Send the LBA Response template letter First Class on Monday by Royal Mail "Signed For" delivery just to be safe.

I recently saw off Shoosmiths with that letter so hopefully you can too

If that doesn't work at least you will have set up a situation where you may be able to recover legal costs despite this being in the Small Claims Court.

Thanks for the info. I am working away this week so have to get everything sorted printing wise by Sunday lunchtime when I start to travel. It is all sorted and ready to pop along to the post office to send it recorded. Many, many thanks

Just as an aside, last week I received through the post a 'pre-approved Vanquis card application form', the likes of which I usually just bin. As it said pre-approved I thought I may as well give it a go. I applied online and I was informed that they would need to speak to me on the telephone to complete the application. I rang the next day and, after basically asking me the same questions as on the application, the lady told me that my application had been successful. Happy days! She didn't tell me the limit and I didn't ask, to be honest I just want it to finally stick some green markers on my file!

Nice. It'll be £250 limit likely (£500 if your score is half decent)

Not really bothered about the limit, just got a card at long last that I can use to repair my credit file. I have applied before and got knocked back but that must be about 18 months or even 2 years ago now. That wasn't from a letter inviting me to apply either which is the difference here. I was a tad impatient before but since then I haven't even thought about it until this letter. I thought, why not. Another lesson in following the advice on here ;-)

Just received a letter from NW concerning the account that I have just sent the LBA to Shoosmiths over. The letter states that they have been unable to contact me and agree a suitable repayment plan therefore my account details have been passed to Experto Credite to act as collection agent. Eh? I thought Shoosmiths were?? If Experto Credite had contacted me themselves without NW involvement I would have just sent the SWID template to them but as this has come from the client What to do?

If Shosmiths solicitors are no longer instructed that can only be a good thing.

It means our LBA Response template letter worked

NW will be too proud to admit that so they've sent you a letter simply saying they've farmed out your account to a DCA instead of a solicitor. I don't think you need to do anything until you hear from Experto Credite.

Well done you for winning that last round

Is that what it definitely means, though? The latest letter, from the OC NW, is dated the day after one from Shoosmiths which was treated as a LBA and responded as such. They have been acting on behalf of NW so they can't instruct a DCA whilst a solicitor is sending LBAs, surely??
