  • PPI on old RBS Loan???

    Hi

I've posted here a long time ago regarding an unenforcable loan that I had with RBS.

I am wondering whether I can claim back ppi on this or not.

Original loan taken out in 2002 for £4600 with £1163 insurance loaded on top.
Full payments made until July 2003
Reduced payments made until June 2010.
Outstanding balance roughly 2600 but this is not being chased by anyone.
The debt had been sold on to numerous different DCA.

Can anyone say whether it would be worth claiming back the ppi or not?

    Thanks

    Hiya

If you go the UE avenue, its a different matter on making a reclaim on the PPI as far as I am aware, so if you wanted to make the reclaim on the PPI, you cannot go the UE avenue I don't think.

I'm sure someone will clarify on this.

By all means I can help with your PPI, but if you want to go the UE direction post on the above thread that states this in the subject and someone will be along to let you know your best options from here.

Right okay thanks for that, will have a read :-)

Sorry for not replying earlier, its been hectic at home, getting lots of improvements done lol.

So basically if you were paying PPI, mis sold and not gone the other avenue, you should be able to reclaim on the PPI with your reasons.

I shall post the direct link here on how to directly make the complaint/reclaim to the bank, and will make a start on reading your other thread tonight/tomorrow, and see what we can do.

this above link also takes you to a link you click on about PPI the complaint form and details of where to send, but do not contact them by phone, best way is in writing only.

Well if it is UE you don't reclaim as it'll go towards the debt - not you.

I think there is some confusion unless you're saying I said it was ENforceable? Xan you clarify please before reclaiming.

          Thanks.

The bank will use its right of set off to reduce the balance on the outstanding balance.
