Can't answer your question, but if you type just the number into Google and hit enter, there's an awful lot of people trying to find out who it is. -

0161 is Robbers Way territory, but that particular number seems odd. Probably not a proper "local" number..could be an international co who have purchased a "local" voipfone number...?Comment

There are a number of these things flying around. We have recently changed to PAYG with our mobiles and OH's number has been given to no-one yet she keeps getting a call on her phone asking for different people. The number is always the same.
We finally found out that it is Swinton and Collonade insurance. We looked around for our vehicle insurance this year on the comparison sites (her number was not given) and it seems that information is being passed around. So they are either dialling random numbers or they are tracing people somehow that have made enquiries. They have never called my new number which is known to many.

Good point there Garlok...I hate the comparison sites for that reason.
Our number ended up being sold on to some overseas dodgy lists, we get calls from nonsense numbers in the early hours, sometimes nothing comes up but a hash key on the display. One of the reasons I got a Truecall ages ago (before I knew about Niddy's Numbers!) so they don't get through now.Comment
