I REALLY should know this, but things might have changed. With a DD it used to be they would give you a date - ie 11/11 and it would be taken that date or possibly a couple of days after (usually if date is non working day)

hi all im new to all this I got into debt after losing my job on health grounds a few years ago, I used all my savings making payments to cccs on a dmp, when the savings run out I decided I had to feed my family instead of paying my dmp so left it to pay token payments to all.

OK. I write to these people with a nicey nice letter requesting they lower my APR - LOng story short some of my banking is with A&L so thougth best to do this way first.
