Don't let Mrs Handy hear you say that Diddles, I will be in enough trouble as it is when she gets home. Especially if she thinks I have had time for a wee dram

Just in case anyone thinks that all Handy does is sit around reading Country Life and enjoying himself. Well this morning it was back to Wurzel mode.

Now all the tools are cleaned and put away its off to mow the lawns. That is is it has dried out enough and the rain keeps off.
If not there are holes to be dug for 3 new trees.

Might get finished by 7 if I'm lucky.

Angelic, you should have gone to Specsavers.

Hard work and The drink have taken their toll on old Handy.
Cremation is not an option when I go as Mrs Handy says it will take them too long to put the fire out.

Doglies to walk then back later for a chat.

I mean it - you're not at all what I expected!! Not that I really had an expectation of what you looked like, you're just not what I didn't expect to see, if you see what I mean?!

I'm genuinely surprised by how young and healthy you look - you always seem to be working so hard and I at least expected some wrinkles...I have more bloody wrinkles than you do!!

Angelic, Well thank you kind Lady.

Yep still got my Hair (too much but saving up for a haircut). Most of my teeth, Cholesterol is low (but that's Genetic) but the bladder play up from time to time.

I have always followed Billy Conolly's advice on reaching 50.

Getting away from the jokes, its great to be old. Only you wish you know what you know now when you were 30 and had the guts to use that knowledge.

Back to news from Hooray Hall. I didn't manage to get all the grass cut. I let the tree surgeons use the ride on the other day and the broke it Then this afternoon I had just finished the bottom lawn when the small mower packed in.

I cant get the spares till Monday, so by the time I go cutting again I will need to borrow a Combine Harvester for the woodland paths.

At least the rain held off long enough. The Dogs also got a good airing.

I am going AWOL for a couple of days as tommorow I am driving Oop North to collect Mrs H.

After a week at DD's listening to Sil Bawling at the kids she has had enough.

GS E has now had hearing aids fitted as the medics have finally realised he is not autistic but has a problem in hearing certain frequency's. Course when his dad starts to yell its frightening the poor lad silly. Mrs Handy has had words but you cant educate pork.

No doubt there will be more to report later.

                  Regards for now, Handy

I dare not be frail, my job depends on me being able to get up in the Morning. Anyway I don't believe your other comment. You have youth on your side.

Do I really come across as frail? I will have to watch how I put things in future. Mind you I nearly got a second rupture this afternoon pulling the broken ride on mower up the slope to the garage. It was like a one man tug of war. By the time I had finished my face was the colour of the All About Logo.

My problem is (and this is my last word on the subject (yeh, realy) ). I have the mind of a teenager and the body of a geriatric . I suppose the two meet somewhere in the middle.

As for the self portraits, 2 reasons really I have just bought a remote control for my camera. It's useful for time exposures as my camera doesn't have a fitting for a release cable, and as I am always nearly at the back of the camera, I don't have many pictures that can prove what I get up to for the youngsters to look at some time in the future.

                          Regards, Handy

                                Aww thanks Angelic.

It's not always that bad, I have managed a Fortnight without a problem with Lady Hooray. Hang on, she was away for a week, then last week she was out all day for 3 days running.
That's probably why things have been alright.

Anyway, Handy is back home with Mrs H. More to report on Sil tomorrow.

I had a great day with the Grand Kids. Covered in bruises from GS as all he wants is to wrestle and play Rugby with GD.

When he's older he will be great in a scrum

For now Regards to all, Handy
