    British Gas to raise prices by 9.2%

    British Gas is to increase prices for domestic customers, with a dual-fuel bill going up by 9.2% from 23 November.
    The increase, which will affect nearly eight million people in the UK, includes an 8.4% rise in gas prices and a 10.4% increase in electricity prices.

    What is the best way if possible to extract data from British Gas or indeed the other big five players, they probably will not want to entertain but I figure it is worth a shot because at least then we will know they are hiding.

      i am with British Gas, but signing up to Uswitch last year, i would've been at a loss of £65 by switching from British Gas to another small supplier - ALL these price increases is that they trying to get people to sign up for a fixed 2 years deals, and thoes who aren't using them are getting bullet riddled with holes of price increase..........the Tariff on fixed 2 year deals are higher than 12 mth deals................so in the long run they are bringing in the big canons hiking tariff price (another bright spar of a zit youngster that has told them i can make you money)

      Why did the Gov' turn down Centrcia, as they wanted to build a supply storage? to hold fuel?

        Npower to raise energy prices by 10.4%

        Energy firm Npower has become the third major supplier to announce price rises, with a dual-fuel bill to go up 10.4%.

                got a letter from British Gas yesterday, informing me that they wont increase my Gas or Electric as i registered variable rate till Aug 2014 and in the agreement they cant increase my rate, and if Standard tariff rate goes down, mine will follow as well, but if the price increase, mine wont hee hee!!! they also enclosed what the rate was when we agreed contract..........so no 9.2% for me on this one!
