Barclays and others have been known to "lift" signatures and cut and paste them into reconstituted agreements etc. Therefore it is a wise move to STOP signing any letters you send out, just print your name and to use postal orders for the statutory fees. If you use the cheques you will have to sign them.
This is a dirty business and every trick and ploy will be used against you if they think they can get away with it. I am a fully paid up member of the Barclays Fan Club (NOT) so have your wits about you.
