Hi everyone

Been a while since I've been on so I hope everyone is doing well?

Just been told that Halifax has phoned the house, thing is I don't know whether it relates the the loan (post above) or the credit card. The situation with the loan is that I sent a MPT letter after they sent me the CCA in July. The credit card I haven't heard anything from them in a while regarding it.

I want to send a letter stating I will only correspond in writing but not sure if I should send to both departments. I'm not sure what would be the best. What would you do?

did they speak to someone?

did the person they spoke to converse?

if no one spoke I'd just ignore it and bar the number

30/07/12 Letter received from Halifax stating you have not paid - no shit Sherlock!
20/08/12 Letter received from Halifax asking me to call to arrange payment - don't think so matey
25/08/12 Letter received asking for payment or they will call the house.
28/08/12 Sent doorstep visit letter as wasn't sure if they meant phone the house or call. In any case they have yet to respond to the harassment letter and MPT letter I sent. Think they are getting their knickers in a twist over these letters
15/09/12 DN received from Halifax. Filed.
09/12 Sent another harassment letter.
09/12 Received letter stating they are transferring this to a DCA. Filed for now.
29/09/12 Received letter from Halifax asking for my I&E and list of creditors to come to an arrangement for repaying. Filed.
06/10/12 Received a lovely letter from Albion DCA introducing themselves as now dealing with this account and asking me nicely IN BIG RED LETTERS to pay £12k.
08/10/12 Sent Sold in Dispute letter as suggested.
11/12 Received text asking me to contact them - Ignored.
12/12 Received letter saying to send I&E - Ignored.
01/02/13 Received letter from Halifax saying they have passed debt on to Moorcrap. Whatever happened to Albion
01/02/13 Received letter from Moorcrap asking me to contact them and pay up. Don't think so.
11/09/13 Received letter account now transferred to akinika, letter asking to pay up.
23/09/13 Sent Sold in Dispute letter.


Just a quick update above. received letter from a new DCA so sent Sold in Dispute letter. Best to everyone.

No Halifax never responded but now it's with another agency I'll start all over again with the sold in dispute. Will give me a little more time

Hello everyone
Been a while since I've been on. Life crap at moment, serious stress issues and close family member dying of cancer

Feeling a little wobbly and not so sure what I'm doing or if I have the fight to keep up this journey.

Just the usual letters coming through which I've ignored or being transferred to another DCA so sent sold in dispute. Received a letter asking when I moved out of previous address and in to new one. I really don't think I should answer any questions - what do you think? Not even sure why they are asking it.

We are here when you are feeling like this. Best place to come to help you with the sharks.

Suspect they want your address move date so they can update the CRA's so in future they dont make any mistakes with any lies they wish to make up.

So I dont think helping them is in your best interests at all. Is this the DCA's becoming scared of the FCA. Lets hope so.

I've been asked the same question by 2 dca's recently, I'm ignoring them too.

I'm not an expert and sometimes have felt overwhelmed by my debt situation but honestly the support we get on here is priceless. I think to myself if I hadn't of found here I would have so much more worry in my life. You are doing so well, I'm sorry life is sending you even more to deal with but at least if you can bat away these dca's one area is in control.

I'm at the beginning of my UE journey and sometimes feel more than a little wobbly, I stopped my DMP in December and I can't believe how amazing this site is for support and help. I never dreamt I could do this but now I think I can with everyone behind me.

It sounds like life is hard at the moment, don't worry about DCA's and the likes, look after yourself and don't let the buggers grind you down, take care and look after number one.
