Hi,
This is my first (of many) post(s),
About 9 years ago in the days when I was married, one of the things my ex wife did was take my overdraft to the limit. It was only £500 but I recently received a letter from a debt collection company demanding the money.
I remember all that time ago I told another company I was willing to pay half as it was a joint debt. That company said I had to pay it all so I simply said "you found me, find her and ask her to pay".
So this debt is now well over what I believe to be the Statute of limitation so am I ok to write to them and tell them to leave me alone as it is now unenforceable (in their pre-paid envelope of course)?
