    Debenhams store card PPI. Help please!

    Can anyone give me step by step advice on how I go about claiming mis-sold ppi on my debenhams store card from about 2002?
    Complete novice at this and need start out help.

      Yes, I have statements as the account is still active. I did have "acc cover" (I'm assuming this is ppi).
      I called the customer helpline today and notified them to cancel the account cover and wish to make a mis sold ppi claim. They said they'll file a complaint and get back to me in 5 working days.
      I'm assuming that this is standard practice and I've heard along the grapevine that most people are unsuccessful with their claim. If they reply with a rejection, what shall I do then?
      Was this the right way to go about it?

        It took quite a battle, but with Di's help I was successful against GE. Good luck

            Right okay MHawkins, as you made the complaint by telephone call I would now put this into writing, as then you have the proof (so always keep copies) personally its actually best to complain in writing only so you have your proof.
            Write to them and say you made a telephone call on date xx/xx/2014 to cancel the Account Cover because you do not require it and you also raised a complaint with your reasons (add your reasons) and add that they have 8 weeks to respond with a decision. I would also say that although you raised this verbally on the telephone, you are also sending your complaint in writing for your own benefit.

            (Post by recorded delivery) this is your proof of posting.

            If you dont mind me asking, what reasons did you give on the mis selling?

            This way we can try helping if needs be, but hopefully it will be successful. Good luck and please let us know how you get on. x

              Out of interest did this card get upgraded to a credit card by GE Money?
