  • DCA's and statement of account

I read somewhere that a DCA has to supply you with a 6 monthly statement of the account but can't remember where it was.
I am asking as I have an HSBC Bank loan and DG Solicitor are taking payments as I lost my job many years ago and so couldn’t pay the required £300 per month.

A couple of years ago (before I knew of sites like this one) they upped payment from, I think it was £28 to £32 per month. I might use the current Government spending cuts as an excuse to drastically reduce it back down. They keep trying to get me to increase it every 6 months.
I used to be afraid of the post... Now I look forward to it - so I can stick it to the DCA's

Actually NO I haven't (who, DG or HSBC). I took out the loan initially in 2006 and another loan to pay that one off and added a bit more to it in 2007.
I did ask DG to request the PPI from HSBC as it was miss-sold and got just over £600 back, but I told them to take it off the debt.
