    Hi Yvonne,

    Welcome to AAD.

Can you provide more information about this debt?

    Regards,

hi the debt company that took the debt over... keeps ringing and ringing my house sending letters im so worried about it... so I rang the company and they said they wont take a settlement as they've not put the charges on.. its capital one that's put the charges on.. so I rang capital one back yesterday and they said no its all charges because of missed payment's... so I said so i'll have to go down the road of debt recovery.. and you'll get nothing... the only thing is I own my own house...night mare...

        I wouldn't worry too much for £ 400

Have you been defaulted on this ? and is this your only debt ?

              Re: credit card charges

Concentrate on the water debt, that is far more important than Cap 1.

I too wouldnt worry too much and would look to put in an official complaint to Cap One to claim the chages back.

Sorry its a quick answer at present - only on quickly and need to dash.

                  Re: credit card charges

I agree, water is a priority debt. A credit card is not.

Ignore capital one for now, we'll come back to that later. For now agree a sensible and affordable repayment with the water board. Don't mess around. Call ASAP and verbally agree. Get the name of the agent and do not pay anything over the phone!! Then let us know what you've agreed and then if necessary put it in writing.

However, regards capital one I'll sort you a suitable reply tomorrow.
