Thousands of RBS/NatWest customers face higher overdraft fees after being pushed into new current accounts - Read more here

Thousands of loyal customers with RBS/NatWest face higher overdraft fees after being pushed into new current accounts. A total of 140,000 customers in seven old accounts will be moved into the bank’s Select Account. This is the standard current account for both banks, but comes with hefty charges for going into the red. The bank says it is trying to make things fairer for all customers, but around a third will see their overdraft rates rise as a result.
