    Is it me, or does that article/Barclays new terms contradict itself?

    But Barclays said that any customer data it sells would never be sold on in such a way that an individual customers was "identifiable". A spokeswoman said the data collected would be "high level" numerical information, not personal.
    She added the bank believed customers would benefit from the information it collects, such as informing them if they were spending more than the rest of the neighbourhood on their energy bills.
    When Gold isn't enough, there is SA Gold! New to the forum and find the UE route a bit scary? Take a look at my diary here and judge for yourself. I am now saving the money each month that was making little difference to the balance and not a bit of difference to my credit file as a result of finding AAD.

      You're right Missy it does. If customers are anonymous how can they tell them they're paying too much for energy?

        that's exactly what i thought Elsa. So essentially for Barclays customer that is going to result in more unsolicited calls, emails, letters possibly - this time with information useful to the caller/sender!

          Just off to Barclays to cash a cheque.

          Might just take a copy of this and ask someone there who gives the authority to sell my data.
