Your annual check-in is so welcome!
You had 12 credit card debts when you joined this forum in 2010. I believe they are now all Statute Barred
This can only be encouraging to others who join AAD on an almost daily basis.

Hi All,
After many years of silence Hoist have realised I have an outstanding ccj, not paid for 6 years but are now asking for payment as they have tracked me down, any thoughts on how to play this, I know you always owe a ccj. Many thanks.
Helmsman.

Hi A ccj for a credit card granted in 2016, at an old address not contested as did not know about it (owed the money) so no payment ever made to it, they finally tracked me down lol. so I understand they would have to go back to court to get permission to enforce? on credit file till May this year.

County Court Judgment if over 6 years old, can they get it enforced? Your original County Court Judgment (CCJ) could only be enforced for up to 6 years after it was awarded by the Court. However, they can re-apply to your original Court to get permission to enforce a judgment that it is more than 6 years old.I'm an official AAD Moderator and also a volunteer, here to help make the forum run smoothly. Hi. No idea what was in the ccj never paid for almost 12 years they only applied for ccj when default was almost up. all done by mail going to wrong address. so no idea what was awarded, to pay in full or by installments. Only found out about it when checked credit file.
have not had any contact till now. Thanks. So more than 10 years old and no payments made. ccj falls off credit file July 22.Last edited by helmsman; 8 February 2022, 18:09.
