    Letter from MONUMENT.....

'You will have recieved a letter from MONUMENT 'about' June 2007'
    Comedians.

This letter evidently informed me that they had transferred it to R Raphael & Sons ( a family of Mutant Turtles?)....then they transferred it to Compucredit ( who they ?)

They have only ever sent me a Reply Card from a mailer.

Now they 'Offer the chance to be placed with the BALANCE TRANSFER PROGRAMME'.....this means that I would 'have up to 12 months to complete an Agreed Payment Amount and then ( oh joy of joys) they 'could' transfer the remaining balance amount to a Visa Credit Card'. My cup overfloweth with their generosity and understanding!

.....Oh, and if I dont ring them to arrange this they will transfer the debt ( £800 ish ) to a DCA.

Well, once I've cleaned my trousers out from the fear reaction that caused, I think I'll politely decline ( ie ignore) their offer which is obviuosly designed for the unwary to phone them up and then find that they've just admitted the debt and screwed themselves.

Think I may send them my own offer of entering Pepes Debt Reduction Programme, just for fun. This would obviously involve the provision of a fully Compliant, properly executed CCA before they could take part....

edit; and evidently according to the bottom of the letter, Balance Transfer Programme is a Trading Name of JC International Acquisition LLC. Consumer Credit Lic No 0632075....and services for them in UK are provided by COMPUCREDIT !

I am truly amazed at how simple it is to open Basic Bank Accounts......
....apart from at the place where I hold not a small amount of savings and with whom I have absolutely NO borrowings.....wierd.

    ...but very useful

Here is my gesture of goodwill to them....

In your recent letter you have made the offer of £80 compensation to be ‘credited to my account’.
However, taking into account the decision made in favour of myself by the Financial Ombudsman against 1st Credit Limited of Riegate ( February 2010 ), you should arrange for payment of that amount to be made directly to me and not credited to a disputed account on which there is a ‘live’ complaint.
I do not wish to have to raise this matter with the Ombudsman as I am sure they are very busy and it would, no doubt, be prohibitively expensive for you to attract their attention….. even for such a small matter.

    .....

    Such fun!

Letter from Moroncroft telling me that they are 'considering, possibly, maybe, one day, with a following wind, downhill, on a Tuesday, in February' ...Legal Action.

No mention of my 're-con- letter though!?!

This is for a Bcard with the usual blank T&Cs....so I'll remind them of that with the appropriate Niddy-o-Gram
