Nice to see you're bearing up, never worry about the banks, do you think they worried about you?

You've got loads to be proud of, we wouldn't be where we are if you hadn't pushed me to get on with it, so hurry back, we miss you.

Okey dokey.....someone needs to let Credit Security Ltd know that their printer is jammed.!!!!!

Received a letter from LTSB beginning of November stating that they had passed our account over to CSL.... We received letter from CSL on the 5th Nov, confirming they had been instructed by client to recover monies, ring to discuss, settlement required in 7 days. Replied with - 'Account sold whilst in dispute' letter.

We have since received another 2 letters exactly the same as the first, so will just ignore, unless any other instruction/suggestions.?

Perhaps they think that by sending letters 2 days apart we will give in and pay up.....don't they know we are made of stronger stuff.

I would either ignore the muppets or send them a wee polite one liner referring them to your sold in dispute, up to you petal...............

If we get any more letters, I'll take your advice Mrs D and drop them a line.....just the one mind.

I would definitely just ignore them.

The only purposes of communicating with a DCA are a) to make it less likely that they will drag you into court, and b) to make it more likely that you will be able to defend the case if it does end up there. Any judge who would consider you to be a 'filthy debt avoider' because you didn't keep responding to exactly the same drivel over and over again would be so biased towards the banks it wouldn't matter what you did.

I would spend your one pound and nine shillings on something useful.

                Thanks Pixie.

Think I needed to have a break away from things for a while. We've had a rough 5 years, Brother died, brother in law died, sister had cancer twice and son had cancer. On top of that we had financial difficulties etc........Its only the last 6 months that things have now settled down, and I can at least look forward to things. If I had had to worry about money as well as the other things which we going on, I think that I would have gone under.!!!

                Life is now looking good........

Hope that you are keeping well

                        • Re: Elsie52's UE Diary

Happy Christmas to anyone who is reading this.

Credit Security Ltd are trying really hard to get up my nose, I have received 6 letters from them in a 4 week period. They have taken over our LTSB account, and are a pain in the arse.!!

LTSB account, Niddy said was UE in June 2010. Prescribed terms are not linked. (Does not encompass them on the signature page of agreement. )

Since then the account has been with SCM, Apex, Wescot, Drydensfairfax, MHA, and finally SCL. Have sent Account sold whilst in dispute letter and also Threat of a doorstep visit to SCL within the last couple of weeks in response to their letters. Today have received another letter from them in which they say that they are pending recovery action for 14 days in order for us to send a payment etc, etc, after that time they will return our account to client recommending that they consider legal proceedings.

What should I send back?....... Threat o gram - Letter before Action?

My commonsense tells me that if LTSB could have done something to recover the money, they would have done so before now not 2 1/2 years later, but...........?????

Off to make the triffle now.

Well another year has past......now we have been on our UE journey for just over 3 years. Mostly things are quiet, just the occasional letter from a creditor or dca. They are usually seen off with one of the template letters and that will be it for a while....... Life is good, we are enjoying good health, good holidays and all the family are okay. It wouldn't have been like this without UE and it wasn't a bed of roses for 2 and a half years prior to going down the UE route.........would I change things? Nope.!!! Wish we had done it sooner.

Hope everyone is okay and winning the battle.

                                Thanks as always Niddy.
