Santander UE dilemma

I have been following the UE route with 3 cards since Niddy was posting on MSE. I decided to investigate the possibility with my Santander Credit Card and sent off a CCA request. Santander wrote back saying they had no trace of the quoted account number. I checked the account number I quoted which was correct, but then discovered that the account number on my most recent statement had changed as had the number on my recently issued replacement card. They had not notified me of this change.

Now I'm not sure what to do, I don't want to do anything that could affect enforcibility but obviously I need find what they have that might purport to be a CCA. What do I do next?

Someone in the know will be along to deal with this but LloydsTSB have done a similar thing with one of my bank accounts, now they cannot find any trace of it?

i seem to remember Niddy saying it didn't matter and I know quite a few of our debts have had account numbers changed. and it hasn't made any difference.

can you give us more information about the debt and if your still using the account (new card??)

Info on Santander Credit Card
Date of opening - not too sure but probably pre- 2007
Balance is £7.7K
Stopped payments as of last month
Not defaulted yet
No transactions on card since change of account number

I guess my options are: Re-send CCA request quoting new account number or send a CCA reminder - unenforcibility threat

Perhaps you could send the cca reminder quoting both account numbers?

If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will let me know!
