I was wondering if anyone knew if people could run searches or background checks on you without your say so? I am guessing yes, but don't know how it works. The reason I ask is I am having trouble with noise from a neighbour and made the mistake of complaining (never usually would)....

Hey all,
Barclays wrote to me yesterday and have advised they're closing my account?
I have no idea why as I don't have an overdraft, I'm not in debt with them, and regularly have my salary paid into the account so have literally no idea why they would do this!?
