Question about aknowledging the debt /s are yours....
If one has only just stopped paying towards a debt and then stops and it is sold and then one asks for CCA..... can they not come back with a "well look, you paid this account until xx/xx/xxxx so you KNOW it's your debt?" -

Am I right in thinking an account becomes statute barred 6 years since the last payment was made on the account? If so, there are two accounts I have not paid since December 2008 and February 2009 and will therefore become statute barred in December 2014 and February 2015 yes?

I had a debt with o2 at the back end of 2011 which was officially passed to moorcroft group on the 1st february 2012.

I was wondering generally about this. If you do go down this method and they cannot pursue the debt. Can you demand defaults and missed payments, well, the whole agreement, be removed from your credit file?
