ok don't worry about the SAR now. Just move on and send the OD CCA to Wescot.

Ok send the first part of this to Wetcloths. Nothing needs to go to Natwest at the present time and likewise you do not need to to pay £1 for the OD cca request below.

Ok thanks, does it matter if I don't fully understand it??! Also, they may have sent this informatiom in the past, I am ashamed to say I got to a point where I stuck my head in the sand as I kept writing to them and they kept telling me to bugger off and I didn't know where to turn, so I ignored a lot of the stuff they were sending, just couldn't face it and the worrying was taking over my life, thats sounds a bit dramatic but I'm sure you understand.

No they won't have previously sent this info. It's fine, it is very very complex to the point not many people, including lenders & DCA's understand the provisions of s.74.

Just send part 1. You'll be fine

Yep or at least get proof of postage to save costs

Hi, just wanted to let you know I have received a letter today from Wescot, not sure if it is in response to my first letter saying they shouldn't be chasing as Natwest hadn't responded to the SAR or the letter posted Wedneday about the OD, but it says (abbreviated)....Thanks for letter, acknowledge dispute, confirming how it will be investigated etc and saying they will not make contact regarding the collection of this amount whilst it is being investigated.

Is there anything I should do now?

                  Thanks

Re: Natwest - can someone help me?

Well, I have received a couple of letters saying that they won't be chasing the debt and then yesterday I had a letter saying that Natwest are claiming they have never had a SAR from me! I have a few letters from Natwest, some departments saying that they cannot find anything on me etc, should I send them copies of some of these letters as they prove that they had had a request for the information?? Thanks

How did you pay the fee for the SAR request? Cheque/postal order?

If a cheque, and they debited the payment, you should be able to track that down on your statement as well.

Hi, I paid with a postal order, don't think there is a way to check if its been 'cashed' though. Do you think I should send the copies of the letters then?

Yes you could do and did you post by recorded delivery and still have the receipt? (sorry if this has been asked already).
Another thing as well with a postal order can you recall on keeping the stub on the left hand side to it? If so send them a copy of it as they may track it down, you need to tell them you already made that fee in order to get another SAR ordered.
