Re: Hooray Hall. Adventures of a Handyman pt2
Phew it's been hot today. In fact too hot for some of the Swallow Fledglings in my garage. They keep fluttering out of the nest and they must be a week away from flying yet.
It's been a full time job rounding them up and using an 18 foot ladder putting them back, only for them to escape again.
Luckily Millie the cat has mice on the menu. The young from the other nest that has fledged are using her for target practice. The Avian spitfires are zooming within inches of her. All she can do is hide under the car as they are too quick and too many.
Still waiting for news of the Cliff Fall at Burton Bradstock. Its near the beach where I sometimes walk my dogs. I can't see how anyone could survive under 400 tons of rock.
I was sick to my stomach today when I heard that the home of the old girl that was killed in the Tunnel Collapse had her home burgled.
I could say something about the Local Plod and the immigrant population but that's just a suspicion.
Regards all, Handy
Edit, I see from the news they have now recovered a body of a 22 year old woman. Gutted. Those cliffs are only partially formed rock after the rain and now the heat there will be more falls, but folk don't heed the warnings. It has been suggested that people went climbing over the rocks looking for fossils after the first landslide. Madness, but my heart goes out to family and Friends never the less.
