    What bullshit - BBC scaremongering at its best. They'll next be saying that taking out a payday loan could lead to contracting Ebola.......

    Loan Sharks have NEVER gone away. Once people have got debts with 4/5/6 payday lenders, who do these muppets think that people turn to?

    To argue that Payday Loan companies prevent people from going to loan sharks is a nonsense, all that happens is that it pushes people further into debt they cannot afford, before they get to a loan shark.

    Encourage organizations such as credit unions, allow the police to pursue and prosecute loan sharks more enthusiastically, and even a return to weekly pay cheques are more sensible discussions.

    The consumer is that sleeping giant.!!

      Sounds as if the BBC is supporting the likes of Wonga ....

      And, incidentally, I absolutely HATE those Wonga adverts. Why on earth do they use someone who looks like a sweet little lady to promote their usury???
