    Disgusting.
When Gold isn't enough, there is SA Gold! New to the forum and find the UE route a bit scary? Take a look at my diary here and judge for yourself. I am now saving the money each month that was making little difference to the balance and not a bit of difference to my credit file as a result of finding AAD.

Its even more disgusting when you consider that the energy companies preferred method to deal with people in arrears is to force them onto a pre-payment meter, rather than go through the legal process of disconnection (of which some people are protected because of vulnerability etc).

This way they can then set the 'recovery' rate of the arrears as well as put those who can least afford it onto a higher energy tariff, further compounding their situation. If they then do not 'top up' the energy companies have effectively cut them off circumventing the legislation put in place to prevent this happening to the most vulnerable of their customers.

      Now THAT is disgusting

The consumer is that sleeping giant.!!
