    Third of local authorities refuse to freeze council tax leaving some areas facing above inflation hikes.....The average UK council tax bill will rise below the rate of inflation in April but, as two thirds of councils are freezing bills, the rise will by far higher in some areas.       Councils aren't publicising the fact that you can now request to pay your Council Tax over 12 months instead of the usual 10.

          As far as me and the wife goes she earns more than me, but I asked why does my wife have to suppliment my income for Council Tax purposes? no response just take this and fill in, on site says no help = still no answer (I am on Pension income)!

            I don't see the advantage, I quite like the idea of not having to pay in February and March, it comes as a relief after all the end of year expenses. Nice to see they are not all increasing the CT, at least ONE good thing!
