Hi NID ;Hi

I've just had a letter from a DCA that they may do a doorstep collection. It's for one of the mobile companies I defaulted. Can I send the doorstep letter in reply or can I only send that when it involves a company chasing something that could poss be UE? as i realise this isn't.

April 2010 - 2 nice letters received. One offering 25% reduction, one just a statement of affairs.
Sept -Made a ppi claim but turned down

30/9 - NID SAYS WAIT FOR THEM TO CONTACT ME

14/10 - Received a letter from them today " ring now or we'll advise proceedings through the court's etc" Obviously trying to get ppi took me out of hiding on this one ;EEK I'd like to send CCA request now to see if it's unenforcable, is that ok?

Haha yes Iknow! Oh well, it was worth the chance cos the other 2 got paid off & £300 on way to me lol

Only that for the PPI claim was it worth it - eeek, sorry! Had it been a £20k debt then maybe, but not a £3k debt. Oh well, see what they have when you send a CCA off to them......

yes I suppose.... In my defence I'd no idea I could do it this way though, I'd already claimed it - listened to people on MSE! ;D My plan was to see if I could get it, then if not offer low-ish F&F, (with money I'll be getting back from charges on paid up mbna card) & then reclaim charges once it was paid. Then do the same again with the other cards.... Then I found youuuu ;-y ;-y

I've just updated my diary, but been very quiet here. hh

After I last dropped by I appealed the decision (23/11) on virgin ppi as you said - still not heard anything on that but I realised I'd not sent for the cca but left it as all was quiet. Got a final notice now though from buchananclark + wells "....regret to note the debt is outstanding... final notice that unless payment is made immediately we shall seek to commence legal proceedings against you.... so I've sent off for cca on Saturday (11/12) - thought it'd be ok as you have told me to send before now, so is that all I need to do?

I've also sent CCA requests to dlc, 1 for my credit card, 1 for a bank loan & 1 for a bank loan of my husband's which has a ccj on it. They were all sainsbury's (now owned by Hillesden) & they were the ones we were offerred a 75% reduction on. I know my husband's already got a ccj but i thought i'd nothing to lose asking for a cca as the judgement was made in default at Northampton. I obviously rattled cages when I did the charges reclaims lol. I also sent a cca request to Turnbull Rutherford solicitors acting on behalf of HFO (original creditor barclaycard) again this has a ccj (in default) as they have started chasing again & sent us an I/E form.

Not got anything else to report so all ok for mo, I think.

Loving the new smilies <:-P I've been really hectic lately looking after grandchildren for a few weeks so not been even putting laptop on cos i know what I'm like & stay on til early morn then can't get up day after :O) Hopefully normal service will resume shortly

Thanks Boss, I'm learning. I'm hoping I won't be on with bad updates but i'll be on if only to say happy xmas cos it's my fave time of yr (my daughter was born on xmas day!) & I definately want to wish my new friends a good one

Poor me you mean I'd been in hosp a week & was just being discharged when she started to arrive & poor my other 3 they had to be rushed to my mum's xmas eve (so woke up to no presents xmas day!) & hubs got sent home at 2am cos it'd stopped & started again late afternoon - but it was 25 yrs ago hehe....She's carried on ruling the roost too One thing I insisted on she always gets birthday presents too! We still start her birthday party at the time she was born 6.36 pm - she loves having a special birthdate!! ya
