Absolutely brilliant news, we were always led to believe claiming charges restarted SB clock (from CAG), our last payment was to Bryan Carter in March 2009 so only got 9 months till SB.

Wanted to send smiley hugs, but they seem to have disappeared...

    Hi Niddy

What can we say, thank you in our eyes is just not enough....for all the help we recieve from you, no matter how busy you are, you still find the time to help us out. You are a Guardian Angel to us and many more on AAD.

Mr M also send his grateful thanks to you, and can only hope one day to have a huge lottery win so that he could contribute mega amounts to AAD to enable you crush these DCA ass holes once and for all...wouldn't that be a dream come true.

Letter on its way tomorrow morn...will keep you all posted of their response.

We thought this debt should be SB in the next few months, but when we were on CAG they advised me to claim back charges, which we did, so am sure I am right in saying by claiming the charges, it restarts the SB date.

Mercantile Data Bureau Ltd is aprt of the Faccenda Group along with Hillesden Securities Ltd T/A direct legal & collections. Send this back to DLC, nothing to MDB as they are a figment of our imagination

    Dear Sirs,

I write with reference to your letter dated xx/xx/2013 and note the content within.

Clearly you are trying to deceive me which as you know, is a serious breach of OFT Guidelines and can have an extremely adverse effect when it comes to retaining your consumer credit licence.

I made it clear in my previous letter to Mercantile Data Bureau (MDB) that it was my understanding that they were trying to trade without a valid consumer credit licence and via a dormant company. Company number 01829604 is dormant, ie non trading.

I sent the letter recorded delivery and for some reason it was sent from Royal Mail to yourselves, why, god only knows but please explain this to me - if I write to them again, as you suggest in your reply then what will that achieve when we both know you must be trading as this firm for all mail to be sent to you - Royal Mail do not make such mistakes as to direct mail to a different company UNLESS they were instructed to do so which begs the question, why are you trying to deceive me by having me chase a non existent, non licensed business?

As such you may consider this letter a formal complaint against DLC for your involvement here and your pure deceitfulness. If what you say is true and MDB is indeed a registered business with the correct licencing to carry out credit servicing/collection then please be so kind as to write back with their full trading name and address along with their company number and their consumer credit licence number.

Failure to comply with this rather simple request will result in more formal action being taken against you, what you are doing is illegal quite frankly and will not be tolerated any more.

Finally, please take this as formal notice that should you send anyone to my home address, I will seek immediate police assistance as I am extremely unwell and spend most my time in hospital of late. Sending someone to my house may well push me over the edge, in which case you could have a murder charge on your hands so I strongly suggest that you continue to communicate in writing and stop with the nonsense about sending someone to my front door.

A copy of this letter and a separate complaint has already been lodged with the OFT and as I say above, continual harassment will be met with more swift direct action being taken against you.

Please also be so kind as to notify your colleagues over the desk that write using this unlawful firms details (MDB) to cease and desist immediately. They wrote stating they never got my letter, funny that when you did and you replied to it yet I never actually wrote to you.

Confused? Imagine how the hell I feel then!!!

I look forward to an immediate apology and confirmation nobody will visit my home address as well as confirmation that this account has been written off or at the very least, returned to the original creditor.

    Hi Pixie
Niddy must be the busiest person on this land...never sleeps and at all beck and call 24/7 one amazing man, thats why I hate to bother him

Just not sure how to reply to DLC or MDB scared in case I do something wrong.

DLC are making out that MDB are registered company and hold a licence yet no sign of them on OFT. Now MDB threatening Doorstep Visit.

Maybe I should just send them Account in dispute letter and Doorstep Visit Letter rather than pester Niddy.

Try not to worry about a doorstep visit as they hardly ever carry out the threat. They use the threat as a scare tactic to get you to phone them. It really isn't cost-effective for them.

I know that Niddy's rather busy at the moment but just wait and see what he says.

Thanks MrsD and Pixie, these people are the scum of the earth, yeah Mr M is more important than these scumbags.

The only thing thats scares me is as they said in their letter that they would transfer to a doorstep visit. That I cant allow, in case I'm not in and Mr M is on his own, that would horrendous consequences to deal with just now.

As you said MrsD I'll hang fire till Niddy has time and see what he has to say.

I have checked the Office of Fair Trading site and MDB are not on it, me thinks they are trying to pull a fast one, thinking I'll crumble, at one time I would have but now I am part of this amazing family of people who go to amazing limits to help people, I have the strength to stand up to them now.

my instinct would be to do a one liner referring the bampots to your previous letter, but I suspect Nids wants a look here, so hang fire and see what he thinks.

remember these are shit on your shoe, try not to worry and concentrate on Mr M

    Dear Sirs,

Please could you clarify your exact business interests in relation to this account because from my recent searches I can see that your company is registered as dormant within the Companies House Webcheck service and likewise, trading against a dormant company invalidates any Consumer Credit Licence you may hold.

Please be so kind as to clarify my queries at your earliest convenience.

    Yours faithfully,

    Hi folks

Our neighbour handed in two letters to us last night seemingly posted through thier door by mistake last week, but couldn't get us in to let us know as hubby was in hospital and i was there most of the time...anyway however...

1st Letter from DLC replying to the above letter Niddy helped us comply, stating:
Hillesden Securities Ltd trading as direct legal & collections appointed our agent Mecantile Data Bureau Ltd, to act in regards to the above acount.
Mercantile Data Bureau Ltd is aprt of the Faccenda Group along with Hillesden Securities Ltd T/A direct legal & collections. MDB are a seperate company to ourselves and hold their own Consumer Credit Licence. Should you wish to view the details of this licence, you can do so by going to the Office of Fair Trading website.
We trust the above information explains MDB's involvement and we request you contact them to discuss payment of the account balance.
(the letter they are referring to is the one Niddy did for us to sent to MDB this was redirected by royal mail to DLC who replied on behalf of MDB. WHY!!!!)

2nd Letter from MDB stating :
Unfortunately I have not had a response to my recent letter. This is disappointing as I wanted to give you the opportunity to resolve this matter without the need for a further third party to become involved.
Part of my account management process involves profiling accounts to pass to doorstep specialists, who may arrange to visit your home. However, should my enquires show that you are a home owner or employed/self employed, a third party may be instructed to begin further colection activity.
I assume you would rater avoid this together with additional costs, and therefore strongly advise you to ring me today.
(Now MDB are saying we haven't replied to thier first letter, which is untrue as we sent the letter Niddy complied to them which Royal Mail redirected to DLC.

Confused really can't cope with these ass holes just know, hubby not good.

    Any suggestions......gratefully welcomed.
