Good luck with Mr M. I do hope this year is better for him (and you of course)...

Finally got 1st Credit to post on that "A DCA Writes" thread - as you know all too well, sometimes the hassle just gets too much. It looks like they're taking on board the comments made

Regards credit file; you know it'll still be bad. I'd hold fire a year or two if you can. It's not likely you'd get accepted anywhere just yet, sadly. But give it time then you'll be able to get normal banking etc again.

    Hiya Niddy

HOpe Santa was good to you too. Many thanks also for your kind words, as said to Elsa thats what this forum is all about, everybody cares so much about each other. Here's to a Guid 2013.

Here I go again dippity doo can't find the thread you talking about with 1st Credit, can you point me in the direction "A DCA Writes" Thread....only you could make them sit up and listen...glad to hear that they are actually taking your comments on board. Your one remarkable man....where would we and many others be without you and your AAD team.

Regards credit file: Not too bothered about changing banking etc... or ever getting Credit again, just was being nosey, wondered what was on it. It has been about 2 years since we applied, as you say not gonna help us anyway, better leave sleeping dogs lie...

I'll have another hunt on forum for that DCA thread..

    Cheers for now
    MM

Yes it can alert DCA's of your precence.

    Hope you're keeping alright
Cheers Niddy, hope you and your family had a Great Xmas and A Happy New Year. I wasn't too sure how applying for Credit File worked and didn't want to ruin all your hard work from last year.

Was just being curious (Nosey), wasn't sure what was on credit file....been very long time since we applied for one.

Hope all is well at your end, Mr M not good over Xmas/New Year, however New Year ahead.....new specialist to see next week.

Can anybody advise us...we were thinking of applying for a recent copy of our Credit file, but I'm sure I read somewhere this can trigger DCA and such like.

As it has been nearly 1 year since hearing from HBOS (after Niddy intervened)
I am a bit scared to apply in case this sets them off contacting us again....any thoughts....

Nothing can be worse than losing someone you love, when my dad died, everything else failed to compare.

In a way it actually gives you the strength to think F em all, rather than worry about it.

Thanks for sharing your experiences though, it gives strength from your courage.......
Highjack all you want steve...you right kinda puts debt issues into prespective, but these vultures make it a lot harder for us folk to cope and look after our loved ones, with thier hounding phone calls and threatening letters, they are not interested in whats going on in your personal life.

Wishing her all the luck in the world for a healthy life.....

for which she was for 14 months & 4 days , she died whilst in the coma, an investigation was carried out by Independent and given the all clear, But years later the consultant was suspended pending investigations into his record in that area, so I contacted the Hospital concerned on the news, who eventually wrote thanks BUT your daughters records were destroyed after 2 years of a deceased person, thanks anyway.
OMG!!!..... TTC that must have been horrendous, as Elsa says you must have strong genes, it must have been sheer hell for you. We lost our Son as a baby and that was sheer hell, a very long time ago, they say time is a healer, it sure is but you never forget them, I am sure she is around you always.
