Re: Miss Muddle's UE Diary
Originally posted by The Tech ClerkUnfortunately I lost my 18 year old thru having tonsils out, what happened was she recovered from the op quickly but was found dead in her sit out hair shortly after, the crash team revived her, but it turned out she was in a coma had (cerebral Heme ridge)).
for which she was for 14 months & 4 days , she died whilst in the coma, an investigation was carried out by Independent and given the all clear, But years late the consultant was suspended pending investigations into his record in that area, so I contacted the Hospital concerned on the news, who eventually wrote thanks BUT your daughters records were destroyed after 2 years of a deceased person, thanks anyway.
But that's nonsense, records MUST remain for 6 years.

Re: Miss Muddle's UE Diary
Well you've everything to fight for, as any compensation would benefit your hubby, so it's well worth looking into.
In my case, it wouldn't have benefited him or brought him back, so I let it go.

I did it for my late husband as there were a lot of errors in his treatment..eg he had cancer and couldn't eat and they took him to theatre to put a parenteral feeding line into a main vein and neglected to secure it with stitches...soooo it came out in the night when he turned over..much bleeding and he had to have another anaesthetic the next day. Nearly killed him.
In the end I bottled out though as I think I was driven by grief and just wanted to put the whole thing behind me.
Oh Elsa you poor woman that must have been horrendous experience for you both. The NHS have a lot of explaining to do these days, some of it is just sheer neglect. Sometimes its best to put all behind you as it can eat away at you day and night, ending up you being ill. I am sure thats what a lot of the NHS count on now, that people will not do anything...
We are not sure yet what we going to do, especially with Hubby's state of mind....that comes first and foremost, especially after the last year or so with the all the financial worry causing him to be suicidal.
Will have a wee read at the links Niddy has out up for me, just to see how things go.

Re: Miss Muddle's UE Diary
That's disgraceful! First step is to send a Subject Access Request to the Hospital involved...if you have the support of his GP you're halfway there.
At least once he's over the op and all the associated pain goes away, that's one less thing to get him down. Small steps. A successful claim that could ease your money worries too would also be a load off your minds, so it's definitely worth looking at.
Onwards and upwards honey xxx

Hi Elsa
How's you doing honey...Hubby had op week past Wednesday for Stomach, no sign of improvement yet but still early days according to docs......unfortunately the depression side will take much much longer, but they not sure if it will ever leave him.
Seemingly his GP wants us to take action against hospital as they left him in agony for 2 1/2 years as according to his records/scans his Gall Bladder should have been taking out at least 2 years ago, but has been misdiagnoised for the past 2 1.2 years, however we shall wait to see what happens in the next few months.
Great news about Argos card.....again if it weren't for you we ould never have found this site, you one special lady.
MMxx
