    Thanks Mrs D

Think i am ready now to stop paying my £1 and see what they hit me with - presumably it will be much the same as the others and they are not going to suddenly take me to court (especially as i dont have any spare money to pay them)and if things did get heavy I can always start paying my £1 again?

Paying £1 or not has no bearing on whether or not they can take you to court. If there is an alleged debt, they can sue you for it. What it does have bearing on is the limitation clock, continually resetting it to six years.

If you want to follow a UE strategy, you need to stop paying. The alternative is to try for a F&F settlement. That can get it over more quickly, but only if you are able to negotiate, and obviously only if you pay more money. I'd definitely give UE a try if it was me, especially if you don't own your own property.

Ok - so i have cancelled my standing orders for £1 a month to Halifax and Northern Rock. They have previously sent me their copy CCA agreements (which Niddy has confirmed are enforceable). What happens next? presumably I just wait to hear from them but there are no template letters i can use?

If it was so long ago, I would just wait and see what they send.

Let us know when you receive anything from them.

                Hi

Finally received a copy agreement form etc from MINT (taken over a year!). I have scanned and emailed copy to Niddy for his opinion.

Have also received letter from Blair Oliver And Scott on behalf of Halifax asking for my income & expenditure as my previous agreed repayment (£1 pm) is due for renewal. Presume they dont yet realise i have stopped paying so should i just ignore this at the moment?

                      Hi

Had letter from Fredrickson (re Mint)offering one final opportunity before they recommend to their client that they instruct solicitors to issue county court claim against me. In meantime they say they are still prepared to accept a full and final settlement.

Should I be worried or is it just another idle threat?

If it were me I'd send this----> Threat by Creditor - Threat-o-Gram Letter Before Action

I've had letters like that before.....Just a threat well they were for me.

                          Hi

Seem to have lost some of my replies - basically Niddy says Mint is enforceable but send a missing PTs letter to blag it.

                              Hi Mr A,

Yep some material was lost in the upgrade, I lost some replies as did several other folk. The old forum is up and available I think still in read only mode so you can "cut/copy paste" over to here for anything important.

                              regards
                              G

                                Spot on. Thanks mate.

Nothing was lost its just that I copied the DB at lunchtime and from then till the following morning all posts posted, went to old forum. There's a link to it at the top ^^^ for you to go copy/paste any posts.

Ordinarily I'd have done it manually myself but time is not my friend of late

i think there were only 61 posts left behind on old forum
