Nope, I leave that to the Awful Poo Lady aka 'Dr' Gillian McKeith.

Mind you since most lenders are full of sh*t I may need to study the practice in future

Also another question looking at credit reports for both me and my partner she shows as a financial associate with myself on my report and the searches show on my report but nothing at all on her any reason for this?

Excellent news, congratulations on getting an In Principle decision and I'm really pleased you managed to prove an exception to the rule (and I say this having seen dozens of people knocked back for mortgages due to payday loan entries), and it looks like your IMA has worked really hard for you.

She may have become a "financial associate" because of the joint application.

If so, it looks as if she'll be lumbered with you...

                  Why should it?

                  It wasn't her debt.

So it's a joint mortgage, with you as applicant 1 (ie the main applicant)? If so that will create a financial link between you both usually with the search appearing on your file. When the actual lender searches/assesses the application they'll conduct a full search on each of you.

A MiP means nothing really, it literally means 'yea we'll consider you but there is a long way to go yet - plus of course, FULL FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE of all applicants'.

I am not being pessimistic, I have seen it too often where the MiP is removed upon a full assessment, especially with the recent changes. However I do wish you luck and hope you prove me wrong - too right I hope you prove me wrong, lol.

haha possibly, ive also found out that MIP is with Halfiax (misunderstood the advisor) not Accord will this make a difference as Accord shows it does accept defaults where as halifax doesnt specify its criteria?

Have you had a response to your disputed BT default from Equifax yet? It's been nearly three weeks since you raised it with them Your goal is to get rid of that financial blemish asap.

According to the intermediaries' website Halifax credit score you for a DIP so they should have seen that default on your CRA file:

Our mortgage promise provides a full mortgage credit score facility using minimal information.
It states how much we can lend, is valid for three months and is subject to a valuation and the information supplied being correct.

Read their full Lending Criteria here: http://www.halifax-intermediaries.co...e/default.aspx

As Niddy has said although you've got a DIP you may still have to jump through some more hoops when they assess affordability where they'll put you more under the microscope

I have yet to hear back in regards to the BT default but I cant see a way of chasing it on equifax's site?
So if I have been fully credit check does it mean I wont be checked again? Plus i already have an account with halifax so will they check so closely?
