Exactly. Some of these searches may not have left a footprint which can be seen by other creditors. Things like quotations or identity checks don't show up to third parties.

Are they showing under credit searches or not? And it doesn;t matter as you've been accepted haven't you!!

    1. ID generic check (you)
    2. Full credit search (you)
    3. Partner association check (your mrs)
    4. Partner full linked credit check (your mrs)

That would be normal, sometimes they search several times if they are unsure and send to underwriting etc so chill, it matters not.

Were these four searches all at one address (your current address) or were they separate searches at linked addresses?

Actually that's a good thing to have on your report because it demonstrates a history of managing your finances properly. Sometimes a *thin* file showing no track record of well-run accounts can do more harm than good.

Since this account was settled in 2009 it'll fall off your file next year anyway.

I'm glad you got this sorted and quite quickly too

Well chuffed for you l8onjones. Onwards and upwards mate. A great success for you, and another excellent result for AAD too

On a slightly related note, i wonder when BT started registering with the CRA's? I got my Experian report just before going down the UE route and there was no trace of BT on there (this was several months after the liberty in the crack house next door happened)

    Re: Bt default

so this is how it looks now on the credit report, the credit score ( random number) has improved, so I guess I dont need to take it any further? This didnt cost me a mortgage so im happy with that and to be honest probably didnt effect previous apps the other defaults probably helped with that haha the only thing I can think of is to have it in writing from them that this info will never change or be ammended?

I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone on the forum aswell because with this matter I am now officially debt and default free and have a lovely home to boot

I agree it's great news about the mortgage, but wait and see if you should try for compensation.

Well done on the mortgage being accepted

I'll leave it to the others to say whether they think you should push for more.

    Here is the response recieved

    Hello Mr Jones,

I hope you’re well. I have investigated your complaint and can therefore advise you that the adverse was removed from your account on Monday 18th August.

Therefore your credit file is now clear in regards to BT.

Please advise if its ok to close your complaint now this has been resolved.

    Best Wishes

    Pauline
