  • Re: And so it begins...

I'll never really be sure of when it goes SB, that's the problem I face.

Dunno if it's the way I'm explaining it, but I don't know when I last made a payment. Hence why I don't know for sure when it will be SB. I could have made payments after getting the default for all I know, I just can't be sure. I can't even tell you for definite where I was living at the time lol

Sometime in 2003 I got the loan, Jan 2004 I split up with my ex, November 2005 a default is issued. Everything was a mess, I was a mess, my life was a mess.

All I know for sure is that it drops off my file in November. Link told me they bought the debt in 2007 and wrote to my last know address at that time, even game me the address without me passing security. What I don't get is why wait ANOTHER 2 years to chase it, why not just go to court and get a judgement back in 2007...? Then why harass me in 2010 and wait ANOTHER year to pile on the pressure again now...? *shrugs*

    I guess we'll never understand DCA's.

I'm in a super fabulous mood today, lets hope nothing spoils that.

Today is the end of the 14 days Link gave me before they pass it to their "Field Agents"... sounds like they're sending the FBI after me. I hope it's Scully

              Hi, me again...

I have been doing some digging, and I've been looking into historical transactions for my current account that I had at the time.

So I looked at my 1st years worth of transactions online, what an eye opener!!!

I wasted money left right and centre. Payday loans all over the place. Charges for being overdrawn without an overdraft. Hundreds of pounds squandered in off licences. My god, it makes me ashamed to look back through it

Anyway, as far as I can see no payments were made to this debt since 3rd April 2006, however I was using a debt consolidation company at the time and I can't be sure if this loan was included. I have to assume it was due to the amount.

In which case leave it till next year when it should be SB - what does the SAR show as the last payment, they must send statements so that will show all payments, then add your 6 years to the last payment date.....

Haven't sent a SAR mate. Haven't sent anything to them. I've ignored since last year like I was told lol

Had a voicemail left for me on Friday from them asking to call. That's it.

Link have now started calling me on my work desk phone and have just text my work mobile!

I've never given anyone this information, bar the people I directly work with. How did they get these numbers??? I'm livid

I refused to confirm any details, although he got my name because I thought it was a work call. I verbally revoked their right to harass me at work, and he said "unfortunately because you won't give us another contact number we will be calling you back"...

I can't have them ringing me on my work numbers!!

you must write to them and advise them that your employment will be in jeopardy if they continue this course of conduct.

Refer them to Harrison v Link and ask that they cease contacting you at work

Make sure you keep a record of the date time person calling etc cos this is your evidence if the matter goes to court

Quick update, I have spoken to Internal Networks at work and informed them I am receiving malicious calls, they gave me two options... have it investigated or change my numbers. Well, I'm not keen on having it investigated due to the sensitive nature of the calls, and as I am not customer facing it's easy for me to inform people of a number change... so I am having my numbers changed.

Thanks for the link i2d, but I don't want to contact them in any way, shape, or form if I can help it. Sending them a letter will just confirms my details to them. What worries me the most is how they got hold of my work numbers. The tw@ I spoke to said they used a tracing company to find out, so am I going to suffer them finding out and calling me every few months?? It's not on, I don't give out my work details to anyone outside the people I directly work with.
