where are CCJ's recorded?

    where are CCJ's recorded?

    Sorry for my ignorance, are CCJ's recorded anywhere else apart from credit file? Is this the ont place that a creditor would check if someone had a CCJ.

    If an account was to drop of someones credit file due to default and 6 year rule, could someone then place a CCJ on there account there account regarding that debt?

    CCJs are recorded at Trust Online ---> CCJs, court orders & fines - Search yourself and others - Trust Online

      Thanks Pixie, do creditors search this database or only your credit file?

        I'm not sure but I would think that they would search Trust Online, particularly if there are any adverse entries in your credit file.

        Having said that, I had a dca saying they've checked my credit file and there are no ccjs recorded and wouldn't it be a pity if they took legal action which they were considering if I didn't pay. They obviously hadn't checked Trust Online because I do have a ccj!

          Thanks again, I have to admit if i've learnt one thing from this forum I hate DCA's and banks now.
