    HM Customs payable order cheque/What for??

    This morning my hubby received a cheque from HMRC Invoice Processing Centre in Worthing.

    We are not sure what its for, it just says account number, document number and amount of £35.

    It couldnt be work related because it would show his Nat ins number.

    Any ideas...

    Uniform tax??

    Is it really right you can reclaim on uniform tax, for the reasons of using works uniform and having to wash them yourselves?

    If this is the case, my hubby's wears work tops, occasionally bottoms too, that I have to wash at home, and have been wearing works uniform for a number of years....
