Sorry about what will probably be a long post.
We have a DMP (Step Change) that started just under 6 years ago and we have got down from £54,000 to £30,000
We have been very good payers on it and have kept everyone happy.

So I've applied with Brighthouse and been pre-approved pending employment and affordability checks.
Anyone dealt with these? And if I do get something will my credit rating improve despite the fact I have defaults on my file?
