2 years ago i registered with HMRC for being self employed. Fair play, the helpline was really helpful. I explained i wasn't sure how much (if at all) money i would be earning in addition to my employed position although they said it wasn't a problem and that they would stick me down as low...

I know we dont tend to dish out advice, so this is more 'information' for a friend.

The current pension pot is just over £10K - no longer any funds being put into the pot as they have left that employment (and no other pension at present)

Fund is invested with FidelityInvestments...

Just worked out what we take from business each month and its less than what we would recieve from jsa and mortgage help.

One big problem we have here is that for the past few years we haven't paid NIC so would we qualify for any help ?

We haven't decided to close the business...
