Had an upgrade last week (threat to leave) gone from 10mb to 30 but had to replace router with a virgin superhub....since then the connection keeps dropping off for a few secs than back on again

rang support they are sending a bloomin tec bod tomorrow heard online though the 1st superhub (side connections) was that terrible and known for this issue they released a 2nd newer version...just puzzled what it could be affecting it

    rant over!!

Common issue im afraid, same happend to me and loads of others, Virgin wont admit this, but its the wireless connection thats the problem, the ONLY fix, is to buy another wireless router, and connect it to the Virgin hub, and switch virgin hub to "modem Mode" i.e disable the wireless connection. That will fix it. Thats the only way to fix it right now.

Cheapest half decent wireless N router i know of, is around 60 quid, something like a Cisco, wouldnt bother with a belkin.

Please, do not accept any drivel the tech guy tells you, infact if it were me id cancel him follow my instructions lol.

Cool let me know if you get stuck, im sure you already know but just incase, you will need to http into the virgin router once all connected and disable wireless mode, or rather switch to modem mode, i forget which heading is used. i think the page is http://192.168.0.1 but i could be wrong! quick google search should do the trick, once saved, pull the power from both virgin hub and router, then put back in and wait for connection.
