Okily dokily. I know I have given advice on here before, but now I seek it.

I have a problem with my brakes (pretty sure this is not related to another thread elsewhere you may have read).

They have suddenly stopped - I say suddenly, but was more of a quick decline. Had new pipes throughout three months ago. Have checked couple of bleed nipples and fluid comes through ok. Handbrake also functions properly.

This started / appeared last night. This morning I had very little brake fluid, but was full a few days ago and there is no evidence of leaks.

If I pump the brakes with the ignotion OFF, I get pressure, which disspates when I turn the ignition ON - so I know the servo is working. Only thing I can think of now is the Master Cylinder.

Anyone got any other ideas that I can check?? - its a Peugeot 306 1.4 LX by the way.

You tried looking at black circles online angelic? They generall are cheaper and for your car they shouldn't be too bad.. Also Kwik fit do a special deal for ordering online.

Sorry Angelic, didn't mean it to sound shouty.. just don't want you to get ripped off, some of us in the motor trade are concerned about the poor reputation it as.

The motor trade really does have a bad rep doesn't it?!

I tried to get it into the wee independant garage about 10 miles away but they were fully booked for m.o.t's for weeks!

Don't get all shouty with me, I'm heavily pregnant, hormonal and likely to start crying (o.k so the crying part was a lie)

I tried to forward plan - the garage was fully booked and wouldn't let me, I've been trying to get the m.o.t booked for ages!

Yup they generally suck large donkey balls.

With regards to the car i totally forgot you needed bearing -- do you still need it?

They said I didn't need one anyway and the wum wum wum I'm hearing is road noise!!
