  • Re: Lending Stream

    SnV,

Thank you for getting back to me, truly sorry to interrupt everyone's weekend.

Ok I will email the FOS with my offer of £66 providing all charges and interest is frozen, and see what happens from there.

I will await and see what happens with P2P after the second failed payment.

    warmest wishes

    Natty

I have just sent my email to the FOS person, however just received an "out of office message" saying not back in until the 02.03.15

I seriously would not worry Natty.

Many of us have been chased for debts much larger than yours, not that really matters, but we do understand your worry.

However, as some of us has said - nothing will happen tomorrow or the day after, it wont happen next week and its unlikely to happen next month.

I know you are worried, and you have other issues - concentrate on them. You have responded to FOS, let them contact you now. You are also still awaiting a response to your complaint.
Do not chase a response, wait for them, it will all help you in reaching a settlement or outcome that benefits you.

Nothing will happen beyond what happened with the first payment

Just to give you an idea, Casheuronet took 3 years before they sold one of my accounts to a 3rd party debt collector so nothing is going to happen for some time!

Simple fact is this - they know theres not much they can do about this. They don't want to go to court as they don't want their lending practices exposed to the legal system, as any precedent that is set could bring down the entire short term lending industry. So instead all they will do is bully and harass to pressure you into making a payment.

You will deal with this when YOU are good and ready and on your terms - not theirs

Natty, don't forget that there are other places where you can post and get support on random things without judgement or anyone knowing who you are! There is also a 'bar' where you can chill and have a laugh or let off steam.

I have just logged into my old email account and there is a total of 16 emails in my inbox from P2P.

Although I have sent my emails from my new address they are still responding to that address! They state in the latest email that they are an on line company and do not have any contact numbers for me?

Do they not look at the email address that I am currently using.

What bullshit - online company or not they still have to follow the provisions of the Consumer Credit Act.

Don't worry about them emailing your old address - its their stupidity to carrying on doing so.
