  • Banks and Crediting/Debiting Times

I know this may be a weird one but its something i have noticed in the past with different banks and nowhere seems to have a direct answer to things like this.

Basically What time does your bank/s credit your account with either wages or benefits?

And same for debits like Direct Debits and Debit card Payments?

Also does your bank allow to you see credits and debits a working day early via a pending transaction screen like this one below? If so coudl you post this up too?

If you could put it in this format that would be brill

    Bank :HSBC
    Credit Time:02:00-05:00
    Debit Time:02:00-05:00
    Debit Card Time:18:00
    Pending Transactions:Yes

I know that i find it frustrating that i'm up till 4am jsut to see if i'm getting paid properly a day early (i get paid every 2nd thursday yet at 4am weds morning i can tell how much i'm getting paid and if there is any discrepancy then i can deal with it quicker than everyone else at work as they dont know about it till thursday) but also this is helpful for when those silly things called bills pop up too.

    Hi kilasuit,

It has been our experience over many years now that the banks will debit whatever they can at start of business on any given day from your account but you will wait to close of business on any given day for cleared funds to be credited to your account.

I don't think I have to explain why.

    regards
