      Here we go. This has been coming for a few years now.

      Its all part of the effort to merge N.I Contributions with income tax. I have said for quite some time that it will in the end, create a new tier tax bracket, as opposed to a contribution, and along with it some changes to its meaning.

      I think long term, it will end up becoming a new starter rate of income tax up to 8%

      Watch this space.
