Just ignore this letter, they are hiding behind rules, what they think and what is fact are worlds apart!

Just ignore them, no response necessary. gh

thanks PB, its just a matter of a wee mind adjustment, its only money and they are all liars! Once you get your head around that, and once you've learned a bit, it gets easier.
          You're doing good!

                Hello Barry
First - don't worry. They have no right to be at your home, if they do that again you just tell them to go away.
There's a very good section on this site about dealing with bailiffs and harrassment (have I spelt that right?).
Power2Contact seem to be bold as brass, but they don't have a right to do anything.
If your account is in dispute then you would normally send Power2Contact the "Account Sold in Dispute" letter.
Anyway, someone more knowledgeable than me will be along... just wanted to reassure you. They do these visits to rattle you, so don't let them!!
                Niddified and proud!

Fought and won the UE battle, thanks to Niddy and this forum...

                  Re: Poorbarry UE Diary

Hi the template letter that MGS was talking about is here

                  http://forums.all-about-debt.co.uk/s...98&postcount=7

I've just done a quick search of Power2Contact and you will see quite a few people have had doorstep visits! I know easier said than done but if they call back just ignore and then get a letter off to them. I'm not sure what is the best one to send but someone will be along soon to clairfy that for you.

Sorry you had this rubbish visit!!

                  .

Thanks must get straight, I'll wait to hear from you guys. I really don't want these people calling at my door. I often have friends or colleagues here and it's really embarrassing not to mention intimidating

No worries - wish I had more to advise but only just started my UE journey so still a bit of a beginner - but someone will let you know what to do next.

                        Take care

That's probably exactly why they do it! But don't worry.

Indeed that is why they do it. But they have no power and legally you can revoke their 'right' to visit you. Don't forget that it costs for them to come and visit you and once they realise you're not going to be cowed then they will stop.

I had loads of those cards saying we'll be back in the next 24h, I always ignored them, and no-one never came. I always look through the window to see who is knocking, and if it's not friends and family and postman, then my door is closed for the rest of the world. So relax, Niddy will tell you which letters to send if needed.
