sorry to hi-jack but if they come round again, (Niddy or someone jump in here) is it a good idea to take photos of them? Purley for 'evidence' they were doing that?

hiya, how did you get on with the council tax debt/sherriffs officers?

Just wanted to say that it took a few times but calling the council and explaining everything and asking if they could recall the account and give time to pay etc helped me, they 'took the account back' from sherrifs officers and gave time to pay. Saying that they didnt backdate other stuff etc that they had the power to and I was eligible for so I think it depends on who you get dealing with your requests tbh. I dont know if there are any template letters for council/priority debt here...?

Might be something Niddy or one of the others can advise you on, well done dealing with the DC by the way.

Hello IDWD, Thanks for asking. I eventually called Rossendales, told them what I could afford per month and confirmed by emailing the council with what I'd said. They accepted it so now I do that. There was no way out of that situation but I guess they could have demanded more in which case I may have had a problem. So steady as it goes on that one.

NO! You cannot do this - lol. If they call, you just document the date and time - they are allowed to call (ie they are called doorstep collectors) however once you say not to, they should listen - but its rare they do so you just document it all and if necessary use it in court against them...

                        Hi Niddy,

I hope you're well. it seems that Cap 1 / Debitas have flipped my case onto Fredrickson International. I received the attached letter yesterday.

This is the first I've heard since the Power2Connect guy turned up at the door on behalf of Debitas some weeks ago.

                        Any action ?
