At the moment I earn close to nothing and when certain debits are taken I have even less that nothing.

Not much point in me doing the suspend interest and charges for 28 days letter as my circumstances probably wont change in that time. Straight to the pro-rata letters then?

I have had 3 x £10 bank charges this month already for various direct debits.

          Re: BlueArmy Diary.

Too much to get my head round at moment. Going for a run to clear my head.

Going to have to get the wife to get another bank account because she puts cash into mine for her credit cards and other stuff. I assume somewhere along the line someone will request a bank statement or 2

no they can, but you certainly don't give a bank or DCAs copies of your bank statements, only a court can demand this.

So what are you going to do, lets get a plan on the table, are you going to look at the hardship stuff and go for token payments?
what about the wife's debt, how much, how old and who with?
bear in mind she will be financially linked to you so her credit report will be trashed as well.
Is there any over riding reason you were trying to preserve her record?

Yep, unless you didn't admit to having one, kinda like "they were closed when you got into debt".....

                Hi,
Why not cancel your DD and pay via internet banking thats what I do now hence no more bank charges. I learnt the hard way with the bank charging me £1000s in charges.

I am not sure what to do, I could pay token payments no problem and at least look willing to do something about it.

The wife has similar debts to me but she manages to make the minimum payments as she is the worker and I am the "homemaker" at the moment. 2 daughters have left, but still 3 hungry lads left All her spare cash goes on clothes, and her bills etc. Not bothered about her credit rating, but she is concerned about charges for non payment etc just like I am. In fact probably worse than me. Her debts prob come to £5k or so. 2 credit cards and a couple of store cards/catalogues.

                      Re: BlueArmy Diary.

You could offer to make token payments of a £1 to each of your debtors for 6 months to buy you some time to get your head round everything. The money you are paying out at the moment you could save up and maybe try for a F&F with one of your creditors.

Are all the utility bills up to date ie. you are not behind on water gas elec council tax etc are you?

Sorry U/E wasn't in your favour

                            Sorry.....

Basically it buys you time, thats about it. Just see what they do next yea?
Well, got my latest barclaycard statement this morning. I think its time I started to think how to edit one of the letter templates to offer token payments.

There is no point in asking for CCA from my very and argos accounts as they were after 04/2007 also.

So I draw up the exact same letter for each creditor? Or do I offer higher payments to higher debts?

You would offer them the same token payment per month, template--> Templates - General Debt

Niddy says unenforceable as is, but it will be due to date. Said see what they do next.
                                17th August : Received Statement.
18th August : Received a letter with terms and conditions again. Dont know why.

Dont see why they thought it was important to send me the t and c again.
