Cheers SLUG, that's some EGGcellent advice

I'm happy to keep blagging them.

What is likely to be final outcome from all this blagging? Will they make me pay up, or offer me a reduced settlement figure, or is it possible to blag them for 6 years and then it falls off?

We're hoping that after you ignore them for long enough, they go away! Then you get an annual chaser letter, which you return as unknown - then before you know it 6yrs are up and it's SB'd

Well that's the plan, of course

I'd been procrastinating about cancelling. Initially wanting to just understand more about UE, and see what position I ended up in. Then moving got in the way ... but just remembered to cancel Standing Order and to email PayPlan!

Now decided to take the full leap in the deep end!

... and Nid, did you get chance to read the two Egg letter I'd received and uploaded?

Egg admit in their letter that they provided a recon and used original terms in place as at account inception - ermm, we already knew that! Point is, that's not acceptable - yea they are relying on Carey but in our eyes, a recon is not fulfilling the request as you can demand sight of this if they attempt action - they can create a copy, if they have the source at hand from other methods, how the hell then can they create an agreement when they don't have the original? Its bonkers....

I'd say ignore this for now and see what they do next!

No chance .. I told PayPlan ... "please advise my creditors to contact me directly from now on".

I'll leave it at that. No point telling them I've moved! ;-)

Remember that you did say it's enforceable though, as it was applied for online and was a tick-box.

Ok, will soon get some mail from them now the DMP is cancelled!

In final news of the day, I've got a buyer lined up for my car. It's at half the amount outstanding (£13k) ... but at least it's some cash I can put into my bank account, pay off the ex for the house stuff, and still have some "breathing space" in case of emergencies.

Then I'll get a much cheaper efficient car via work.

So you have told the creditors you moved, but not PayPlan? Ermmm, that's back-to-front!

                          Sorry ...

I'd told PayPlan that I might have been moving. I haven't told the creditors a thing.
I've simply emailed PayPlan and said "Cancel it, and get creditors to contact me directly".

By directly, I meant "the address they have on record" ... my old address, with the mail forwarder

Yup, just need to decide between my shortlist of four cars now. Oh and get mine washed and vacuumed before I take it to the car dealer.

It's due a major service, and two front tyres, which im holding off on!
