Yeah ... I think the issue is:

My house contract hasn't been exchanged, so they are worried it "might" fall through. But due to exchange this week. So I've agreed to send them proof of exchange. Email from my nice solicitor should sort that!

The landlord is wanting someone in ASAP. Bear in mind I went to look today and the DIY bloke was still filling holes and painting! Plus the cleaners still need to go it.



Therefore it will realistically be only 2 weeks until I move, at most.

I've said that once I provide proof of exchange, I want confirmation from them, that it is MINE.

But, if needs be, I would be willing to pay my deposit early ... but not the first months rent. That might appease them!

Oh yes, I need a beer!

Today's Update:

It seems I've secured the rental property, assuming I can provide proof that contracts have been exchanged.

My g/f has agreed to pay the first month's rent and deposit on the proviso that I pay her back once house sale completes.

The house is pretty much next to the telephone exchange, so ideal for good broadband ... for work purposes.

Oh I also managed to negotiate half price fees, as they were advertising them on their website !!! So from £180 ... check in post for £90 !!


In other news, I had the police phone me about constant disturbance issues with my tenant in my rental property. So I've now had to instruct my letting agent to serve her with notice! Fingers crossed it goes through court quickly and that she doesn't trash the place, and that I get a new tenant quickly! (Else it will be bankruptcy ahoy to get rid of the house!)

I appear to be using too many emoticons

Tomorrow is Friday, so hopefully I'll be getting some but knowing my luck it will be and

Ooops just running out the door to get the little man from nursery.

I have a 2 year old Staffie. Which makes landlords inhale similar to a car mechanic when they say "Ooooh, it's gonna cost ya!".

He's not an ASBO dog by any means though.

Cheers Niddy, the image I sent to Loo, was one which Ive posted elsewhere on the internet ... hence why I didn't want it publicly visible on here too. It wasn't the link per se, but the image.

I'll try and find a more generic one of him to upload.
