Egg – Credit Card

1) Credit Card
2) Start Date 22/07/2003.
3) Approx Balance - £7,612
4) Last full payment – September 2009.
5) &nbspas on arrangement plan - £88 – last payment 25th November, 2010.
6) No default issued as of yet, on credit report shows as on AP
7) At the moment still with Egg. After a year on AP Egg refused to extend the AP any more, I explained that my situation had not changed in anyway.

18th December - CCA request sent with £1 cheque
21st December – letter received by Egg and signed for.
Various phone calls and a letter chasing for payment throughout December from Egg
30th December - Egg cashed £1 cheque
31st December - Received CCA from Egg Niddy says
5th January CCA query letter sent
Couple of phone calls in Jan - not answered - emails on my on line account telling me they MUST speak to me.

Update - 18th January SAR request sent with £10 cheque as need statements for other stuff.

No action necessary, just updating.

I have scanned in the letters received yesterday if you can let me know if I need to do anything?

Also they called me again last night and I picked up - she never went through any security details just asked if I was Miss Looloo - so I said are you not supposed to go through security (she mumbled something could hardly understand her). She said I owed them money but if I was experiencing difficulties they could help...! I said do you have my file in front of you? Do you know what correspondence I have sent.. again she mumbled something, I said I will only communicate wtih you in writing and I am now going to end this call. I wasn't rude.

You're obviously a nice person! Good on you! It's ok to be rude to them sometimes though, they're always rude to us!!!!

Haha - I think even though it was irritating that I couldnt' really understand what she was saying she obv got me in goodish mood and she wasn't being horrible to I thought just handle this firmly and professionally.... (for a change!!)

Hiya, next time they ring you hang up! Pointless talking to them, its a waste of fresh air!

The letter they sent just helped you out no end lol, they confirmed they used a recon which means we know they do not have an original so great - ignore them.

Nothing to respond with, just let us know if anything else comes about this account and we'll deal with it as and when.

yep no more picking the phone - got it programmed as EGG do not answer. As you say waste of my breath.

Mint (RBS) – Credit Card

5) Currently on arrangement plan - £56 – last payment 22nd December 2010.
6) Default issued 23rd December 2009.
7) Still with Mint. Interest has been frozen

4th January - CCA request sent with £1 cheque
18th January - SAR request sent with £10 cheque
20th January - letter received from Mint enclosing my letter saying they are unable to comply with my CCA request as I never enclosed my £1 payment

quick update - Mint have returned my letter and CCA request saying I never enclosed my £1 payment. They returned the letter that i sent them along with the envelope - and hey guess what was in the envelope, yep you guessed it! THE ONE POUND POSTAL ORDER ADDRESSED TO MINT!!

Guess I will just send the whole lot back to them and say CHECK THE ENVELOPE next time!

When you glue it to the letter make sure you do big highlighted arrows pointing to it!

I know my own fault - I got our receptionist to take it to the post office for me and buy the postal order so he just popped in the envelope... Pah.

The funny thing where they sent it all back they folded it all and the postal order has exactly the same crease as the letter and the envelope..... what utter idiots.....

At least with the SAR requests I had the cheques before they went to the post office so they were all stapled safely to the letter.
