Not had opportunity yet to get to P.O. to send off the harassment and SWID letters yet, but Moorcroft have managed to sneak another phone call in, which although was blocked, they still were able to leave a voicemail message. Still thats fine - if they then want to deny they've ever called me (as did Capquest!) I have the evidence to prove otherwise.

    Grrrrrrrrr

Call to my mobile last night - I didn't hear it but a voice message was left and it was a very stern sounding lady calling from MDR which we all know is Moorcroft.

Now I sent a letter many moons ago (before my UE diary days) asking for all phone numbers to be removed and not to call me so they have obviously not done this. I currently have 3 accounts with these scumbags but this is the only account where the OC had obtained my mobile number so assuming its this account.

I'm not worried about the phone calls, I can deal with them fine (and I have the ability to block their number also which I've already done, but no doubt they will call from several), but I am going to nip this in the bud asap.

Am going to send Pauls telephone harassment special letter along with a SWID letter just to rub it in a little more.

Yeah but I am basing it on how long it took me to get rid of them the last time.

They are like a dog humping your leg, no matter how much you try and shake them off the little blighters hang on in there for as long as possible

Shall we say a virtual pint is the wager on who gets to bin Moorcroft off first and gets the next set of bottom feeders ?

My estimate is that it will take me 5 months to get rid of these and for the next crowd to come out from whatever rock they are under, do you think you can do better ?
    it is!

I think you're being pessimistic with 5 months - I was hoping to get them to drop the account a LOT quicker than that!

Ooooer QQ have sent me an email:

"This email is to remind you of your severely overdue loan with QuickQuid.

Payment on this loan needs to be made immediately.

If we do not receive a response, we will take that as a refusal to pay and will take appropriate collections measures which include, but are not limited to, the use of a third party collections agency.

We value you as a customer and would like to help you resolve this matter.

Currently, your balance is £xxxxx and FULL PAYMENT MUST BE MADE IMMEDIATELY as your account is over 90 days past due.

Please understand that this message is very urgent and requires immediate attention. Please contact us immediately to resolve this matter.

We have already sent you in the post a statutory default notice and Office of Fair Trade leaflet as required by the Consumer Credit Act 1974.
    "

I just love the blatant lies - at no point have I received a DN, and infact the letters sent to Arc Europe and Trevor Munn requesting they demonstrate such was met with stonewall silence which says everything.

As their last 3rd party collections agency dropped the account and I haven't heard from them for a year I am assuming this is the usual end of year chase up. They are going to be met with silence until I get something in the post.

My understanding of Moorcroft is most of their staff are sourced from a Circus

Get the popcorn ready and as you say let the entertainment commence!

Letter today from IF rejecting my complaint, although confirming that they have asked Capquest to remove my telephone number from their systems (though not First Source I noticed).

So putting aside the fact its taken them 6 months to respond to my last letter, they have completely missed the point that they have sent me a letter admitting they don't have a CCA, and that they cannot enforce!

Oh yes - I can imagine the mad panic that set in after the SWID letter was received, so they thought "lets wait two months and then send a threat-o-gram pretending we never received it".

I think I'll respond with a simple one liner referring them to the SWID letter.
